Dream big and make it happen! That has been 2016’s motto. This year has so many new things in store for me as a business owner, a creative, as a soon to be wife! I had wanted to go to WPPI (wedding and portrait photographers international) for 3 years now, ever since I started doing portrait photography, and this year instead of dreaming about the never ending “I’ll do it next year” decided to make it happen. It was an incredible experience. I saw photographers that I have admired for such a long time, took classes and workshops, and got to surround myself with other creatives- which I love!
Some photography friends of mine, Laura & Rachel mother and daughter wedding photographers, were setting up a styled shoot out in the Vegas desert. I was so excited to be able to be apart of it, not only did I get to take some behind the scenes images, but they were really gracious to make sure I got some time with the models too.
At first I was actually kind of nervous. Any of you who now my work know I specialize in newborns, so this was WAY different. But doing a personal project just for fun was exactly what I needed I had such blast and can’t wait to do it again next year.

Brenden, these are amazing! I know your newborn and maternity portraits are stunning, but you may need to start offering other sessions after these shots. Monterey residents would jump on shoots like this on the beach! Wow!
What an awesome experience you had at WPPI! These photographs are absolutely stunning, and I absolutely love this Vegas desert style session. The scene created a wonderful backdrop for these beautiful young ladies, and their outfits couldn’t be more perfect! And how cute to add a photograph of all the photographers at the end!
